AR Murugadoss Blames Salman Khan for 'Sikandar' Failure
Film critics did slam the movie's plastic aesthetics and poor visual aesthetic.
Actor Salman Khan’s film Sikandar turned out to be a disaster at the box office. It was directed by AR Murugadoss, who is currently awaiting the release of his next film, Madharaasi.
In a recent interview, Murugadoss opened up about Sikandar's failure at the box office, and his words, which blamed Salman Khan, left many stunned. He stated that working with Salman Khan wasn't easy as the actor would often show up late at night. "Some scenes were planned for daylight and had to be shot after dark under artificial lights, which we had to adjust with CG," he said. "There was also a string of last-minute changes that made the film lose its original vision."
The director suggested that green screens had to be used for a lot of shots.
All this contributed to Sikandar, which co-starred Rashmika Mandanna, look artificial. Film critics did slam the movie's plastic aesthetics and poor visual aesthetic.
It remains to be seen how Salman Khan will react to Murugadoss's comments.
