Aamir Khan To Be Back On Screens As Bad Guy!

The movie is a sequel to the classic Taare Zameen Par, which was released in 2007.

In a recent virtual appearance of Khan in front of a China-based fan club, he opened up on his upcoming movie.

Later the interaction was shared on X, in which Amir said, "Sitaare Zameen Par is almost ready. It is the sequel to Taare Zameen Par. Thematically, it is going ten steps ahead. It is about people who are differently abled. It is about love, friendship, and life. Taare Zameen Par made you cry, but this film will make you laugh. It’s a comedy, but the theme is the same."

Aamir also revealed the noteworthy changes in his own character in comparison to Nikumbh's character from Taare Zameen Par, who was gentle and empathetic. Khan explained, "My character in Taare Zameen Par was Nikumbh, who is a very sensitive person. In this film, my character’s name is Gulshan, but his personality is exactly opposite to Nikumbh. He is not sensitive at all. He is very rude, politically incorrect, and he insults everybody. He fights with his wife, Mother. He is a basketball coach, and he beats up his senior coach. He is a person with a lot of internal problems, and the story is how he changes with the film. How these people in the spectrum teach him what it is to be a good human being."

The movie is inspired by the storyline of a Spanish movie called 'Campeones,' which was released in 2018. The story was based on a real-life story of the Aderes Basketball team, a team of athletes with intellectual disabilities in Valencia, Spain.

The movie was remade in Hollywood in 2023 with the name 'Champions' in which Woody Harrelson plays the role of an impetuous coach assigned community service.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan's adaptation movie has a local touch that can strike a chord with the audience.

However, the official date of the movie has not been released yet, but the buzz around the movie is across all social media platforms.

Sitaare Zameen Par is directed by R.S. Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. The movie will be released in 2025, where Khan will be acting alongside Genelia Deshmukh and Darsheel Safary.
