UPSC Issues Civil Services Examination 2026 Notification; 933 Vacancies Announced

UPSC clarified that the final number of vacancies may change based on inputs from Cadre Controlling Authorities.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026, announcing approximately 933 vacancies across various services. The last date for submission of online applications is February 24, 2026.
Out of the total vacancies, 33 posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). This includes 7 vacancies for candidates with blindness and low vision, 11 for deaf and hard of hearing, 8 for locomotor disability (including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy), and 7 for candidates with multiple disabilities, excluding the combination of blind and deaf.
UPSC clarified that the final number of vacancies may change based on inputs from Cadre Controlling Authorities. Reservation will be provided as per government norms for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
