Anantapur: An invigilator reportedly took a photo of a question paper of MBBS at the examination centre in Kurnool medical college in Kurnool.

Invigilator Dr Chakrapani Yadav has been kept aside from examination duty and a three-member committee would look into the matter and submit a report to the higher authorities.

Sources said Dr Yadav, an assistant professor in the Microbiology department, was invigilator for the ongoing supplementary examinations of first and second year MBBS at the Kurnool centre.

Soon after he entered the examination centre on Thursday, he allegedly took a photo of the question paper on his mobile phone and came out from the hall. The chief observer noticed the invigilator entering the examination hall and taking the question paper photo. The invigilator's action was against the guidelines.

Medical college vice-principal Dr Sai Sudhir said that Dr Yadav was immediately removed from examination duty. Director of medical education Dr. D. Narasimham directed a three-member committee of the medical college to probe the matter.

The committee would submit a detailed report by Saturday. Action would follow.

Sources said a similar mobile copying of a question paper happened in the previous day’s examination and the probe committee would also check the details thereof.
