Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights member Gondu Sitaram has warned schools against holding classes during the Dasara holidays, scheduled to commence from Saturday.

In a press release on Friday, Sitaram emphasised that all schools, regardless of their management, must adhere to the state government's guidelines of not conducting classes during this holiday period.

He stated that if any school holds special classes for class 10 students under the pretext of completing the syllabus, they will lose the recognition granted to these schools. Further, the state government will take legal action against owners of such schools.

Sitaram asked students and their parents to report any violations to the Mandal and District Education Officers. They can contact helplines 1098 and 1092 or secy.se.edn@gmail.com or apscpcr2018@gmail.com in this regard.
