State Educational Achievement Survey Successfully Conducted in Andhra Pradesh

Vijayawada: The State Educational Achievement Survey (SEAS) examination was conducted on Friday, involving a staggering 7,06,934 students from 27,406 schools across the state. This vital survey, orchestrated by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) Parakh, operated under the guidance of the Central government's education department.

Praveen Prakash, principal secretary of the state school education department, personally oversaw the administration of the survey at Mandadam ZP High School and Mandal Parishad Primary School in the Guntur district.

After speaking with the field investigators responsible for conducting the survey, Prakash scrutinised the survey management procedures and examined the Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets completed by the students. Expressing his satisfaction with the survey's execution, Praveen Prakash commended the efforts of those involved.

In another part of the state, Samagra Shiksha state project director B. Srinivasa Rao supervised the administration of the survey in Vijayawada, NTR district. He visited primary and secondary schools within the KSR Zilla parishad, meticulously examined the examination procedures, and provided relevant instructions to Class X students on various subjects, including biology and social science, eliciting satisfactory responses.

Additionally, Srinivasa Rao highlighted the importance of utilising mobile phones as tools for learning and inquired about the implementation of the mid-day meal scheme under the “Mana Badi: Nadu-Nedu” initiative.

He was joined by NTR district education officer C. Renuka, assistant commissioner of the examinations department K.V.N. Kumar and other officials during the survey.

The State Educational Achievement Survey (SES) is a crucial evaluation tool, conducted by NCERT, to assess the learning abilities of students studying in government schools. The examination is administered to students in classes 3, 6, and 9, providing valuable insights into the state of education and informing future policy decisions in Andhra Pradesh.
