Davos: President Trump announced on Wednesday that he was canceling the planned tariffs on U.S. allies in Europe regarding the control of Greenland. This decision was made after the President and the leader of NATO agreed to a "framework of a future deal" regarding Arctic security.

This move was described as an "abrupt about-face" that emerged hours after Trump had previously insisted on acquiring ownership of the island.
