Hyderabad: Promising to undo 60 years neglect of Hyderabad by the Congress and TD governments and make it a magnificent global city, Chief Minister, K.  Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday said the government would shift  the Secreta-riat, Chanchalguda jail and Hyderabad Race Course.

“The Secretariat will be shifted 100 per cent. The foundation stone will be laid for the new secretariat after the GHMC elections. It takes time to prepare plans and designs,” the CM said.

Asked where the new secretariat will be located, he said it would either  be in the Chest Hospital premises at Erragadda or at one of the two other places  including on defence land (Bison Polo Ground) if it is allotted.
