Hyderabad: Hafeez gets aid from MIM, Congress, NGO for MRI scan

MIM and congress leader including two NGO's handed over money to Hafeez's brother Shaikh Aziz for scan and treatment.

Hyderabad: Four leaders of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, two Congress leaders and some non-government organisations (NGOs) have collected a total of Rs16,000 for Shaikh Hafeez, who is lying for 12 days in Osmania General Hospital awaiting an MRI scan to carry forward his treatment. 

MIM leader from Jubilee Hills Mohammed Sairaj Khan, MIM leader from Krishna Nagar Mohammed Amjad, senior Congress leader Vijaya Kumar and Syed Ali of World Human Rights Organisation came to OGH on Wednesday and handed over the money to Hafeez’s brother Shaikh Aziz for the scan and the treatment.

Advocate and general secretary of the People’s Union for Civil Liberties Jaya Vindhyala explained, “The family is grateful as finally the MRI can be done. The follow up treatment will then be done at OGH.”
