Indore girl shot dead in Patna

The incident according to police occurred when she was on her way to the railway station to board a train.

Patna: A day after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar dismissed charges of “Jungle Raj” in Bihar and asserted that “rule of law” prevailed in the state, a young woman from Indore Madhya Pradesh was shot dead in the state capital Patna. The incident according to police occurred when she was on her way to the railway station to board a train. She had reached Patna on January 23.

Though the investigation is still in initial stages but information coming from the police indicates that the incident may have occurred due to personal enmity. The Police, according to sources is said to have obtained some vital clues from the hotel where the girl after reaching Patna had checked in. “Currently we are scanning the CCTV footage of the area where her body was found,” Shalin, DIG Central Range said.

Police is looking for two boys Rahul Singh and Rajeshwar Singh of Vaishali district who were staying in the same hotel and had checked out of their room on January 24.
