Hyderabad: Pet Kat Ke Mere Beta ko Padaya (I went hungry to educate my son). That is what Amjad Khan, the father of terror suspect Abu Anas said after hearing that NIA had arrested and produced his son in court in connection with a terror case.

Amjad Khan, a beedi maker, did not think that he would fall into the ISIS trap when his son told that he had quit his job in Hyderabad and was joining a new company.

Amjad, who hails from Tonk in Rajasthan, says he worked hard to educate his kids. Abu Anas did engineering and his brother is doing civil engineering and sister BSc.

Amjad Khan said, “I gave good education to all my three kids. I felt happy when he got his first salary. He came home in December for the marriage of one of our relatives. He then left for Hyderabad again and told me he had quit the job and was taking up a new one".

"The NIA official called me and said that he was produced in a Hyderabad court and will be taken to Delhi. We were not told about the charges against him.” The family now wants to move court for bail.

TWG International CEO A.R. Rehman said, “He told us that he had stomach ulcers and that’s why he was quitting. He was a loner and used to meet trainees only during lunch. He used to train 30 students in information security analysis.”
