Hyderabad TWG staff shocked at Abu Anas's arrest

Hyderabad: The arrest of Abu Anas, an Information Security Analyst of TWG International at Abids by the NIA shocked the employees and management of the company. He was living in Ayyappa Society in Madhapur.

Abu Anas disappeared for a month recently
Mr Amjad Khan, a native of Tonk in Rajasthan and father of Abu Anas, said his son had never spoken about his intentions to join ISIS.

Amjad a beedi worker said, “My son Abu Anas is 25 years old and passed out from JECRC University, Rajasthan. Later for six months he did apprenticeship with a company and in June 2015 he joined this job. He was not married. He is religious and used to read the Namaz regularly. He used to speak to me over telephone several times but never told me about his activities. It has never come to our notice that he was involved in any terror activities.”

He said, “A NIA official from Hyderabad called me up and told me my son was picked up for investigation.”

TWG Chief Executive Officer Mr A. R. Rehman said, “Abu Anas earlier joined as a student and got trained. Later he approached us for a job and as he was good at his work we gave him the job. His probation ended recently.” Interestingly Abu Anas disappeared for a month recently.

Abu Anas went on ‘vacation’ after December 25 and came back to TWG and told us that he was sick.

“He said he has stomach ulcers and he can’t continue his job. A week ago he met us and he left. He used to appear as a soft guy and was always on the laptop with headphones on. We never suspected him.”

Abdul Lateef, Vice President said, “We can’t believe it. It is shocking.”
