Thiruvananthapuram: The police has recovered a letter hinting that love failure was behind the suicide of a 25-year-old woman who leaped to death from the balcony of her boy friend's rented apartment at Ulloor on Wednesday.

The dead was identified was as Shiji George of Railway Quarters, Anwar gardens, Poojappura. The woman who was working as a receptionist at a local hospital was residing in a hostel following fallout with her family.

The girl who was in an affair with one Akbar from Beemapally was a regular visitor at the Ulloor-based apartment where he used to accommodate foreign guests. Akbar used to be an entrepreneur in the travel industry.

On Wednesday, the security man of the apartment called police after he saw the woman jumping from the ninth floor in the evening. The letter recovered later hinted that Akbar was about to get married to another woman. Police will take him to custody for further interrogation.
