Progress on China border, says Army

The Army chief pitched for modernisation of weapons and equipment to face different challenges.

New Delhi: India wants constructive engagement with China along the northern border, Army chief Gen. Dalbir Singh Suhag said on Friday, claiming that there was “significant improvement” in the understanding between the two countries on the boundary front.

While transgressions have taken place in disputed areas along the Line of Actual Control, there has been a marked improvement in the understanding between the two sides, Gen. Singh said.
