Heavy rain forecast for Andhra Pradesh

Heavy rain and thundershowers for Rayalaseema, Yanam and north coastal and south coastal Andhra for the next two days

It’s third highest rainfall in a decade for Hyderabad

The all-time record was of the year 2000, when on August 24, the city had received 241.5 mm of rainfall

Strong winds, speed reaching 40-50 kmph, are likely to prevail over the north Arabian Sea, central and southwest Arabian Sea.

The forecast says that if the situation continues then the temperatures are likely to come down by weekend.

The state on Saturday also witnessed light rainfall at isolated places.

There was heavy rainfall on the outskirts and light rainfall within the city.

Meanwhile, a good amount of rainfall was registered at Jadcherla, Jangaon, Rangareddy, Nagarkurnool, Malkajgiri and other areas.

Heavy rainfall occurred in the districts of Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Badradri Kothagudem on Wednesday.

While the rest of the week will be generally cloudy with light rain.

On Saturday, Chennai received an average rainfall of around 2 cm, while Ennore and parts of Tiruvallur received 3 cm of rainfall.
