Egypt accuses UN of seeking to 'politicise' Morsi death

This comes two days after the death of former president of Egypt, Mohammad Morsi who suddenly died in court.

“He arrived at the hospital dead at 4.50 pm exactly and there were no new, visible injuries found on the body.”

The incident led to eight casualties and 15 injuries among Egyptian forces.

The raid came over a week after a terrorist attack on a mosque in North Sinai in which more than 300 people were killed.

Osama Morsi has been charged in a mass trial already under way over the bloody dispersal of an Islamist protest camp in Aug 2013.

The same court is to start reviewing a second life sentence handed down against Morsi in a separate trial.

The court also cancelled death sentences handed out to 16 other Muslim Brotherhood members.

Not enough work, he said, has been done to confront the ideology of extremists who have roiled the region.

In May, it changed the basis of its Islamic-oriented party to equate it with ‘Muslim Democrats’.

Morsi was given an additional 15 years in prison in the same case, increasing his jail term to 40 years.
