Rajasthan Tightens Border Security, Bans Pakistani SIMs Over Espionage Fears
Amid rising concerns of espionage, the Rajasthan government has banned the use of Pakistani SIM cards in border districts like Jaisalmer and Sri Ganganagar after Pakistan reportedly boosted mobile tower range near the border. Authorities have heightened security within 50 km of the international border, restricted outsider movement, and raised drone awareness among locals. The Centre has marked several Rajasthan districts, including Jaipur and Jodhpur, as sensitive, ordering siren installations for emergencies. Meanwhile, bomb threats disrupted Jaipur and other regions, even as flight services and local activities resumed.
