Security Tightened at Paradip Port After Ship with 21 Pakistani Crew Members Docks
Security was heightened at Odisha’s Paradip port on Wednesday following the arrival of crude oil tanker ‘MT Siren II’ with 21 Pakistani nationals among its 25 crew members. The vessel, which came from South Korea via Singapore, is carrying 11,350 metric tonnes of crude for Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. Amid recent military tensions between India and Pakistan, the port has been placed on high alert. According to Marine Police, no crew member will be allowed to disembark during unloading operations. The CISF and Marine Police are monitoring the situation closely, officials said.
