Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday praised the Indian armed forces for their targeted strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir under 'Operation Sindoor'. Chairing a Union Cabinet meeting after the operation, Modi affirmed his government’s zero tolerance toward terrorism. Following Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s briefing, the Cabinet unanimously supported the action. Modi also met with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and NSA Ajit Doval to review the evolving situation. The strikes were in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians.
