World Leaders Urge India, Pakistan to Show Restraint Amid Missile Strikes

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, US President Donald Trump, and leaders from Russia, UAE, and Japan on Wednesday urged India and Pakistan to exercise restraint following India’s missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and PoK in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. Guterres called for “maximum military restraint,” while Trump expressed hope the hostilities would end “very quickly.” Russia, the UAE, and Japan echoed calls for de-escalation and dialogue, warning against a full-blown conflict in the region.
