Arunachal Flood Toll Rises to 11; 938 Affected Across 23 Districts

The death toll from floods and landslides in Arunachal Pradesh rose to 11 after a labourer died in a wall collapse in Anjaw district, officials said Tuesday. Over 938 people across 156 villages in 23 districts are affected as incessant rain continues to cause widespread damage. Lower Subansiri reported major losses to homes and infrastructure, while the Itanagar Capital Region and Pakke Kessang saw key utilities disrupted. In Changlang, flash floods from the Buri-Dihing River damaged the Makantong bridge, severing Miao-Bordumsa connectivity. Several districts face submerged areas, eroded farmland, and washed-out roads. Relief camps and rescue efforts are ongoing, with 18 people evacuated so far.
