Amid rising national pride following India's successful Operation Sindoor, a couple in Ayodhya has named their newborn son after the military's retaliatory strike against terror hubs in Pakistan. Soni Kanojia, who gave birth on May 7, and her husband Rahul Kanojia chose the name Sindoor to honor the bravery of the Indian armed forces following the Pahalgam terror attack. The operation, launched on the same day, targeted nine terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir in response to the brutal April 22 attack that killed 26 people. Rahul Kanojia explained, "We decided to name our son Sindoor in honor of their sacrifice. I want him to grow up and serve the nation in uniform." The sentiment surrounding the operation has spread across Uttar Pradesh, with families in Kushinagar naming their newborn daughters Sindoor as a tribute to the military's courage and the victims of the attack.
