Ishan Kishan Departs as India Move to 45/2 Against USA

India lost their second wicket in the T20 World Cup 2026 clash against the United States of America with Ishan Kishan dismissed for 20, caught by Milind Kumar off Shadley van Schalkwyk. At 5.2 overs, India were 45 for 2 after being put in to bat.

Earlier, Abhishek Sharma was sent back for a duck by Ali Khan, giving the USA an early breakthrough. Tilak Varma is holding the innings together with 25 runs off 15 balls, including three fours and a six, keeping the scoring rate healthy at 8.44.

For the USA, Ali Khan and Shadley van Schalkwyk picked up a wicket each while maintaining pressure. In the first five overs, India scored 45 runs but lost two wickets as the American bowlers struck at key moments after opting to bowl first.
