Cochin: Skoda, the Czech automaker, is strengthening its growth momentum through refreshed Kushaq SUV, and a 10-product rollout to cover wider market coverage in the fiercely competitive Indian car market.

“India emerged as our fourth market globally after Germany, Czech Republic and the UK, driven by a sharp rise in sales by the Kylaq SUV,” Martin Jahn, member of Skoda’s board of directors for sales and marketing, said.

“We have a very strong export base in India for the Middle East, Vietnam and Africa. We more than doubled our sales and became No.7 in the Indian market,” he noted. This year Skoda marked 25 years of its operation in the world’s third largest car market.
