SBI IMPS Transfers to Get Costlier from Feb 15

The bank has clarified that IMPS transfers up to Rs 25,000 through digital channels—internet banking, mobile banking, and the YONO app will continue to remain free.

State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest lender has revised its IMPS charges which will come into effect from February 15, 2026.

The bank has clarified that IMPS transfers up to Rs 25,000 through digital channels—internet banking, mobile banking, and the YONO app will continue to remain free.

However service charges will be applicable to online SBI IMPS transactions of Rs 25,000 to Rs 5 lakh.

For online SBI IMPS transactions above Rs 25,000 and up to Rs one lakh, the service charge levied will be Rs 2 plus GST.

SBI online IMPS transactions exceeding Rs one lakh and going up to Rs two lakh will now attract a fee of Rs 6 plus GST.

For amounts above Rs two lakh and up to Rs five lakh, online IMPS transaction service charges will be Rs 10 plus GST.

Prior to IMPS, SBI had also revised ATM transaction charges, effective December 1, 2025.

For Savings Account customers using other banks’ ATMs, after the free limit is exhausted, a charge of Rs 23 plus GST will be applicable on cash withdrawal.

For non-financial transactions, a service charge of Rs 11 + GST will apply.

Earlier salary account customers enjoyed unlimited free transactions which would now be capped to 10 transactions per month.
