Busy Month in IPO Market; Companies Rush to List Before Expiry of Regulatory Approval
12 IPOs are in line for fund raise and stock exchange listing, mostly with smaller issue size of up to Rs 1,000 crore
Mumbai: September first half is seeing a big rush of initial public offerings due to expiry of regulatory approval by September end for many companies and also Pitru Paksha also known as Sharad period begins on Saturday, September 26, 2026 and ends on Saturday, October 10, 2026, a period when new businesses are not launched.
India Inc. may raise up to Rs 25,000 crore in September 2026 as around 25 to 35 companies rush to launch initial public offerings before Sebi's extended regulatory approval window expires on September 30, 2026, according to online stock trading and investment platform Kotak Neo.
So far 12 IPOs are in line for fund raise and stock exchange listing, mostly with smaller issue size of up to Rs 1,000 crore.
Some companies were given extra time by Securities and Exchange Board of India to list, due to prevailing geo-political situation, allowing one-time extension to companies whose IPO approvals were due to expire between 1 April 2026 and 30 September 2026.
On Friday four more companies announced their price band and public issue dates, all the four IPOs between Sept.9 to Sept.11, 2026 - Rentomojo( Issue Size:Rs 1255.57 crore/Price Band: Rs 384-Rs 404), Manipal Payments & ID Solutions ( Issue Size: Rs 805 crore/ Price Band:Rs 322-Rs 339), Karamtara Engineering (Issue Size:Rs 875 crore/ Price Band: Rs 241-Rs 254) and LCC Projects ( Issue Size Rs 427.14 crore/Price Band: Rs 139-Rs 146).
Those that have already announced their price bands and public issue dates included Asset Reconstruction Co. (India) or ARCIL (Rs 732.97 crore), Kanohar Electricals(Rs 1056 crore), Prasol Chemicals ( Rs 500 crore), Glass Wall Systems( Rs 427.89 crore),Pranav Constructions (Rs 351 crore) and Veegaland Developers ( Rs 210 crore).
Two IPOs have closed on Thursday with Rays of Belief (Mom's Belief)(Rs125 crore) getting subscribed 107.71 times and Deepa Jewellers( Rs 459.72 crore) getting subscribed 42.61 times.
October-November period also will be big for primary markets with the Jio Platforms and NSE IPO likely to hit the market during Navratra and Diwali. This has also made smaller companies to hit the market in September as mega IPOs could suck liquidity from the market.
