BSE's MF platform gets record 1.34 lakh orders today

Platform is a web-based transaction processing, fully automated online MF collection and settlement system.

BSE has yet to disclose how much it will raise from its IPO, but bankers say the sale should raise about $200 million for its investors, valuing the exchange at more than $700 million.

Mumbai: Leading stock exchange BSE's mutual fund platform today processed a record 1.34 lakh orders in a single day. Prior to this, the MF platform had hit the one lakh level on September 12, 2016.

"BSE StAR MF today received 1,34,271 orders from 522 members -- a record high," a BSE spokesperson said.

The 1.34 lakh orders placed amounted to Rs 270 crore in value terms. Currently, the BSE mutual fund platform has a total of 2,860 registered members.

BSE StAR MF was launched in December 2009 and is the largest mutual fund distributor platform in the country today.
