Hyderabad: During a medical emergency, logistics are often a challenge. Truaid, developed by Turbo Rescue Services, is a helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) for shifting patients in emergency situations.

Backed by Turbo and ICATT air ambulance services, Truaid provides fully-staffed medical evacuation by dedicated air ambulances for individuals, families, holiday groups and senior citizens.

The helicopter is equipped with a medical equipment wall with 2xuniversal rails to carry medical device retainer with several oxygen, pressured air and electrical outlets.

The company not only facilitates transportation of patients but also has 50 trained doctors who are referred to as medical commandos. They are skilled enough to perform invasive life-saving procedures. The land ambulance crew and the helicopter medical crew are trained by paramedical experts from UK. HEMS is being implemented in India for the first time and Truaid will roll off from July. It will provide services in Hyderabad and Vijayawada initially.
