It's all hush-hush, Siddaramaiah, RVD strike major deals backstage?

The moment inaugural programme of Invest Karnataka-2016 concluded all dignitaries were herded into the high security VIP lounge area.

Bengaluru: In a marked departure from the usual signing of MoUs on stage during the investors meet, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Industries Minister R V Deshpande were huddled with potential investors  in the VIP lounge area, negotiating  with big business houses on Wednesday.

No sooner did the inaugural programme of Invest Karnataka-2016 conclude then all the dignitaries were herded into the high security VIP lounge area.

The discussions continued from 1 pm to 5.30 pm  in the presence of senior officials of the industries department. Several MoUs were  signed during the five hours, according to official sources.

“Power projects, integrated townships and expansion of auto-mobile industries were finalized. More negotiations will take place on Thursday,” they added.

Mr Deshpande refused to divulge any details to waiting journalists, promising to tell all either Thursday evening or Friday.
