US dollar ends sharply cheaper against rupee

Mumbai: The US dollar ended sharply cheaper against the rupee at 64.97/98 per dollar and the pound sterling also finished lower at 91.25/27 per pound at the close of the Interbank Foreign Exchange (forex) market here on Thursday.
