Gold futures for October delivery rose Rs 704, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 1,53,522 per 10 grams, while silver futures gained Rs 1,003 to Rs 2,40,019 per kg.

Gold prices rose Rs 704 to Rs 1,53,522 per 10 grams in futures trade on Tuesday, supported by fresh positions created by speculators amid firm spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold for October delivery climbed Rs 704, or 0.46 per cent, to Rs 1,53,522 per 10 grams. The contract recorded a business turnover of 1,560 lots.

Market analysts attributed the rise to fresh positions built by participants, with firm demand in the spot market also supporting the precious metal. In the international market, gold futures rose 0.22 per cent to USD 4,413.84 per ounce in New York. Meanwhile, silver prices also gained in futures trade amid a firm global trend.

On the MCX, silver for December delivery advanced Rs 1,003, or 0.42 per cent, to Rs 2,40,019 per kilogram, with a business turnover of 1,708 lots. Analysts said the increase in silver prices was primarily driven by fresh positions built by market participants.

However, silver futures in the overseas market declined marginally by 0.05 per cent to USD 66.13 per ounce. The movement in precious metals comes as investors continue to track global market trends and demand conditions, with futures prices influenced by trading positions and developments in international bullion markets.
