Hyderabad: Charles Schwab today announced the establishment of a new legal entity, Charles Schwab Services India Private Limited (Schwab India), which will launch with a capability center in Hyderabad.

Pradeep Menon, a veteran leader with more than 25 years of experience at multinational companies, has been appointed Managing Director and head of Schwab India.

The new Hyderabad office enhances Schwab’s access to a deep pool of highly skilled talent while advancing the firm’s goals around scale, efficiency, risk, and operational excellence.

As part of this initiative, select work currently outsourced to contractors via third-party vendors in India will transition to Schwab employees based in Hyderabad. By employing local talent directly, Schwab aims to streamline development processes, accelerate execution, and invest in talent and strategic capabilities that will drive the firm’s long-term growth.

Mr. Menon brings to Schwab India over two decades of experience overseeing operations, governance and workforce culture, most recently as a Managing Director for HSBC in India and as Vice President and Chief Data Officer for General Electric’s Global Data Hubs. His prior employers include Maersk, Dell, and Honeywell. He holds an MBA from IIT Bombay, School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from V.J.T.I, Mumbai University.

Team members in Schwab India’s Hyderabad office will connect seamlessly with U.S.-based teams and collaborate closely with our established vendors while taking on increased ownership of endto-end deliverables. None of the employees in the Hyderabad office will be client-facing. Hiring will begin in 2026.

The company said, “We are very excited to open our new location in Hyderabad and look forward to welcoming new members of the Schwab team. As a growth company and the largest publicly traded brokerage firm in the U.S., Schwab continuously explores new opportunities to support the growth of our business. Our goal is to build a workplace that reflects Charles Schwab’s culture of client service, offers rewarding careers, and deepens collaboration across our global network.
