Piramal Enterprises stock up nearly 3 per cent after Q4 earnings

The stock gained 2.83 per cent to settle at Rs 2,609.45 on BSE.

New Delhi: Shares of Piramal Enterprises today rose by nearly 3 per cent after the company reported a 61 per cent growth in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March.

The stock gained 2.83 per cent to settle at Rs 2,609.45 on BSE. During the day, it jumped 4.4 per cent to Rs 2,649.40. On NSE, shares of the company went up by 2.17 per cent to close at Rs 2,599.45.

Piramal Enterprises today reported a 61.06 per cent growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 310.96 crore for the fourth quarter ended March, mainly on account of robust growth in all verticals.

The company had posted a net profit after non-controlling interest, share of profit or loss of associates and joint ventures of Rs 193.07 crore for the same period a year ago. Consolidated total income also rose to Rs 2,548.96 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 1,742.79 crore a year ago.
