TVS Orbiter Enters Telangana’s EV Market

TVS Motor Company has expanded its electric mobility portfolio with the launch of the TVS Orbiter in Telangana, positioning it as a smart, sustainable solution for India’s evolving urban commute. Designed to address everyday riding needs while pushing the boundaries of innovation, the new electric scooter brings together range, comfort, connected technology, and practicality at a price of ₹1,04,600 (ex-showroom Telangana, inclusive of the PM e-Drive scheme).

At the heart of the TVS Orbiter is a 3.1 kWh battery that delivers an impressive IDC-certified range of 158 km, one of the highest in its segment. Enhancing this efficiency is a strong focus on aerodynamics, ensuring stable performance while optimising energy consumption. An industry-first 14-inch front wheel further sets the scooter apart, offering improved ride comfort, superior stability, and confident handling across varied urban road conditions.

Beyond performance, the TVS Orbiter has been engineered to elevate everyday convenience. It offers several segment-first features including cruise control, hill hold assist, and a generous 34-litre under-seat boot capable of accommodating two helmets. A long 845 mm flat seat, straight-line 290 mm footboard, and upright handlebar geometry create a comfortable and relaxed riding posture for both rider and pillion, making it equally suited for daily office runs and longer city rides.

Design-wise, the scooter adopts a modern yet purposeful aesthetic, blending clean lines with functional elements. The front LED headlamp with visor, edge-to-edge front combination lights with integrated indicators, and a coloured LCD connected cluster give the Orbiter a contemporary presence on the road, while also enhancing visibility and safety. A ground clearance of 169 mm ensures practicality across speed breakers and uneven surfaces common in city riding.

Connectivity plays a central role in the TVS Orbiter experience. Through its connected mobile app and digital cluster, riders can access real-time information such as battery status and odometer readings, receive incoming call alerts, and navigate seamlessly with turn-by-turn guidance. Proactive safety features including crash and fall alerts, geo-fencing, time fencing, anti-theft and towing alerts add an extra layer of assurance, while over-the-air updates keep the system future-ready. Riders can choose between Eco and Power modes, supported by regenerative braking that enhances both range and control.
