Kia Sorento, Premium 3-Row SUV Launched at Rs 27.99 Lakh in Hyderabad
The feature-loaded Kia Sorento is launched at an introductory price starting from Rs 27.99 lakh for the Diesel variant and Rs 29.49 lakh for the Petrol-Hybrid
Hyderabad: Kia unveiled its newest premium SUV Sorento in Hyderabad on Saturday, at an event held at the Novotel Convention Centre here.
With the Sorento, Kia enters India’s premium three-row SUV segment. The new Kia Sorento is also the South Korean manufacturer’s first hybrid offering in India.
Available in Hybrid Petrol and Diesel, the Kia Sorento is said to be the longest and widest in the segment, offering a much higher stance than its competitors including the likes of Toyota Innova Hycross, Mahindra 7XO, Tata Safari, MG Hector Tomahawk, Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tayron, Jeep Meridian, etc.
The 1.6L Petrol-Hybrid provides 180 PS of power and 265Nm of torque, which will be paired with a smaller 65 PS power and 264Nm torque electric motor. Meanwhile, the 2.2L Diesel engine offers 193 PS of peak power and 442Nm of torque.
The Kia Sorento is offered in 6 or 7 seater options across three base trims, starting from HTE, HTK and the premium HTX, with multiple feature options available to select in each trims.
The Kia Sorento is available in a total of nine colour options, including an entirely blacked-out premium trim option and eight monotone exterior options.
The monotone exterior colours include Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Gray, Imperial Blue, Magma Red, Pewter Olive, Ivory Silver Gloss, Aurora Black Pearl, and a matte Dark Gun Metal finish.
The lower trims of the Kia Sorento will have Smoky Black & Grey Two Tone Interior & Leatherette Seats, while the premium trims come with Premium Black & Olive Brown Two Tone Interior & Leatherette Seats.
The car is loaded with tech and safety features ranging from ADAS Level 2+, digital parking assistance, second-row ventilated seats, an AI assistant with real-time generative AI capabilities, and much more.

Globally, Sorento was Kia’s entry into the premium 7-seater SUV market. The model introduced in India is a facelift of the fourth generation of the global Sorento, first launched in 2002. Over the years, the Kia Sorento has sold 4.8 million units across 132 countries.
After the success of popular models including Seltos, Sonet, Syros, EV6, Carens, and Carnival, the all new Sorento is expected to continue the momentum for Kia Motors in India.
