Pune : Kia, the South Korean car maker, on Friday introduced the all-new second-generation Seltos with an aggressive starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh at pan Indian showroom to woo new buyers. The top trim costs Rs 19.99 lakh. 

The mid-size SUV, whose delivery will start mid-January, is bigger, bolder and feature-rich, raising industry benchmarks, to draw a wider set of customers. 

It offers a blend of space, sophistication, safety and technology at an affordable price, competing with Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Grand Vitara and Victoris, Toyota Hyryder, Tata Sierra and Honda Elevate. 

“The All-New Kia Seltos marks a strong evolution of a nameplate that has shaped Kia’s journey in India,” said Gwanggu Lee, MD & CEO, Kia India.

Buyers can choose from a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel Seltos SUV. Transmission options range from a 6-speed manual and iMT to IVT, 7-speed dual-clutch and a 6-speed automatic, ensuring there is something for both commuters and highway regulars. 

The new SUV is equipped with a new dashboard layout with a 30-inch panoramic display, featuring dual screens, a new 3-spoke steering wheel, and features such as a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, reclining rear seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Bose sound system, an AI assistant, over-the-air capability, and Level 2+ ADAS.
