Renault clocks 9-lakh sales milestone

 PUNE: Renault, the French car maker, on Wednesday said it has crossed the 9-lakh cumulative sales milestone in the fiercely competitive car market in the country over the last 11 years of operation.

The automaker’s product line-up in India includes the Renault Kiger, SUV followed by the Renault Triber, MUV and Kwid hatchback.

The company said it was able to achieve this feat due to innovative and disruptive product portfolio, persistent commitment towards customer satisfaction, network expansion, rural focused strategy, and pioneering marketing initiatives.

India is a strategic and among the top 5 markets for Groupe Renault and it has a clear long-term strategy for the Indian market, dominated by Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, among others.

“We are extremely thrilled to have crossed the 9-lac sales milestone in India. He said Renault has formulated a strong product-offensive plan for India, with heavy emphasis on localisation in future range of products.

“With a long-term commitment to the Indian market, Renault plans to bring several new innovations in products and services, to meet the evolving needs and preferences of customers,” he said without divulging details.
