New Honda Shine 100 bike comes with 10-year warranty

PUNE: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India on Friday started the regional launches of its entry-level commuter bike, the Shine 100 in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan at a special introductory price of Rs 62,900 in these states.

However, the 100cc commuter motorcycle costs Rs 64,900 at the Delhi showroom. The bike is available with a very attractive 10-year warranty.

Honda is offering a 7-year extended warranty on the Shine 100. The bike comes with a standard warranty of 3 years, which can now be extended to 10 years.

In comparison, Honda's main rival, Hero MotoCorp offers a 5-year standard warranty, which can only be extended to 7 years.

The Shine 100 is powered by a 98.98cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 7.28 BHP and 8.05 Nm. The engine is mated with a 4-speed gearbox.

The bike features conventional telescopic fork suspension in the front with dual shock absorbers in the rear. The brake setup consists of 130 mm and 110 mm drum brakes at the front and rear respectively.
