Apple Plans To Launch Store in Hyderabad, Begins Hiring

Apple is planning to launch its next physical store in Hyderabad, deepening its retail presence in India.

Apple has listed job openings on its careers portal for roles such as Senior Manager, Genius, and Store Leader for Hyderabad. Typically, the iPhone maker starts hiring nearly a year before opening a store.

According to reports, the US tech giant is expected to open the Hyderabad store in early 2027. It is also likely to launch another store in Mumbai this year.

This comes after Apple inaugurated its store in Noida in December 2025.

Apple launched its online store in 2020, later opening flagship retail stores in Mumbai and Delhi in 2023. The company subsequently expanded its retail footprint with additional stores in Bengaluru, Pune, and Noida.

Recently, Apple recorded its highest-ever value share — 28% — in India’s smartphone market. According to Counterpoint Research, the surge was driven by a “premiumisation” trend, with customers opting for higher-end smartphones.

In 2024, Apple had a 23% value share in India. However, the success of the iPhone 16 series, along with the company’s financing schemes and trade-in offers, helped it achieve its highest value share in the country.

“Apple led the market in 2025 in value terms with a 28% share, as festival-led promotions and deeper channel expansion supported revenue growth. Apple’s iPhone 16 ranked as the top-shipped model in India in 2025. This also marked the highest-ever annual shipment share for an iPhone in India,” the report noted.
