Andhra Pradesh Is Best Destination For Investments: Naidu
CM Naidu invites global investors to industry-friendly Andhra Pradesh
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called upon industrialists to put their money in Andhra Pradesh, branding the state as a major investment destination.
Taking part in the World Economic Forum at Davos on Tuesday, the CM sounded confident that his state would become a major market for industrialists. He urged them to visit AP and see for themselves the policies he had implemented to promote investments in a big way.
Naidu asked to fathom first the state’s speed of doing business policies. He expressed optimism that AP would stand first in contributing a large share for India to become a global power by 2047.
He addressed the industrialists and entrepreneurs on the topic, ‘The Andhra Pradesh- Advantage’ at the CII’s Breakfast Session, and explained about the investment opportunities available in AP in sectors like green energy, technology, digital infrastructure, logistics, manufacturing etc.
The Chief Minister informed the industrialists that AP attracted huge investments from major firms - like a green ammonia project, the Data Centre by Google, and explained about the AP’s brand image as an investor-friendly destination.
The government, he said, is focussing more to develop space city, sea ports, airports and assured highway connectivity.
Noting that AP has started using drones in agriculture and healthcare sectors, Naidu said they were planning to launch drone ambulances in 2026. The long 1,054-km stretch of coastline and presence of several seaports and airports were making AP stronger, he said, adding that the government was aiming to take up natural farming in 50 lakh acres in the next four to five years.
Naidu said he had been attending the World Economic Forum sessions in Davos for decades and learning new things from the industrialists and experts. He said, “We are formulating policies after learning about usage of state-of-the-art technology in several sectors. We are making AP a business friendly state after assimilating the ideas of top industrialists. I strongly believe in the knowledge economy which will transform the nation’s economy. We are creating wealth.”
Naidu said, “Indians, especially the Telugus, are the best at understanding and using the technology.”
“I am confident that if we efficiently use new technology, we can get wonderful results in various fields,” he said.
Naidu said India had strong leadership. “Earlier, we had difficulty bringing industrialists to AP. This scenario has changed with AP’s brand image spreading all over the world, highlighting its successful governance and development.”
CII director general Chandrajit Banerjee, Mastercard CEO Michael Miebach and representatives from top companies were present.
