French President Francois Hollande condemns 'cowardly attack' in Burkina Faso

Paris: French President Franois Hollande condemned the "odious and cowardly attack" in Burkina Faso, where al-Qaeda linked gunmen launched an assault against a restaurant and a hotel that has left 20 people dead.

"French forces are providing support to Burkinabe forces," the president's office said in a statement Saturday, adding, "The president expressed his full support to President (Roch Marc Christian) Kabore."
