Aaryan Vikat’s story is a compelling reminder of what early intervention, patience, and unwavering belief can achieve. Born to parents who are both doctors, Aaryan’s early childhood appeared joyful, but by the age of two, developmental differences became evident. He was hyperactive, non-verbal, and socially withdrawn. After multiple assessments, including evaluations at NIMHANS, he was diagnosed with classical autism at three years and nine months.

While acceptance was emotionally difficult, his parents chose to act decisively. Following a move to Abu Dhabi, Aaryan’s mother temporarily stepped away from her medical career to focus entirely on his development. She implemented intensive home-based early intervention, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), speech therapy, and occupational therapy. The results were remarkable—within three months, Aaryan began speaking in complete sentences. Despite this progress, the journey remained challenging. Aaryan faced repeated school rejections across two countries before finally gaining admission.

Frequent relocations also exposed him to bullying and social isolation. Seeking inclusive education and emotional stability, the family eventually returned to Hyderabad.

Over eight years, Aaryan’s growth was shaped by individualized teaching methods, consistent encouragement, special techniques, and the collective support of family, teachers, and peers. Today, Aaryan attends school happily and continues to progress academically, socially, and emotionally—an inspiring testament to the long-term impact of early intervention and inclusion.
Inspired by Pranav Bakshi, India’s first adult autistic model, Aaryan developed an interest in modelling as a means to improve his body language, self-awareness, and confidence. He began professional training under the renowned actor and model Kaushal Manda.

Initially, his motor weakness, limb incoordination, and difficulty with facial expressions made the training demanding. However, through discipline, determination, and daily practice, Aaryan gradually overcame these challenges. His efforts culminated on a grand stage in Hyderabad, where—competing alongside mainstream children—G. Aaryan Vikat won first place and the “Teen Mr” title (11–14 years category) at the “Little Miss & Mr South India 2025” beauty pageant.

Individuals on the autism spectrum often experience challenges in social communication and emotional expression. While many excel in creative and analytical domains, the field of modelling particularly demands strong social interaction, emotional expression, and confidence. Therefore, succeeding and shining in this field is a truly remarkable achievement for an autistic individual.

Aaryan’s success goes beyond a trophy—it sends a powerful message of hope to families across the country. With the right environment, early support, and belief, autistic children can not only overcome challenges but also shine in the fields they love.
