KOZHIKODE: KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran on Tuesday said that those who support SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellapally Natesan will not have a place in the UDF. Mr Sudheeran was addressing a reception accorded to the Jana Raksha Yathra headed by him at Chattanchal in Kasargod. Hinting at JSS leader Rajan Babu, who had accompanied Vellapally to the court, Mr Sudheeran said that strict action would be initiated against such persons who keep a leg in the UDF and another in the Vellappally camp.

Mr Sudheeran also demanded that Union minister for defence Manohar Parrikar should resign from the post owning responsibility for the terrorist attack at Pathankott. “The attack exposed the holes in the security system of the country,” he added. On the controversy over CPM's positive nod to the RSS gesture to end the political violence at Kannur, Mr Sudheeran said that it is good that both parties are trying to start a dialogue on ending the political killings of Kannur. “But if they are planning to weave out a broader alliance against the Congress in the state, people would defeat it entirely,” he said. The Yatra started at Kumbala in Kasargod on Monday. Congress leader P Gangadharan nair presided.
