Chennai: The PMK general council which met on Saturday resolved to make Tamil Nadu an alcohol-free state and provide free education to all if voted to power.

The general council slammed the governance of the state for the last 50 years in which it alternated between the two major Dravidian parties.

Holding the DMK and AIADMK responsible for Katchatheevu, Cauvery and the state's water and power issues, the council stated that people will neglect the two parties.

“Anbumani Ramadoss has been greeted warmly by people wherever he goes. His achievements during his tenure as the Union health minister is world renowned,” a statement from the PMK said.
