Karan Johar ropes in Aditya Roy Kapur-Shraddha Kapoor for Mani Ratnam's 'OK Kanmani' remake

The film will be helmed by Shaad Ali and the dialogues will be penned down by Gulzar.

Mumbai: If you thought on the last day of 2015, Bollywood had nothing exciting to offer, then you are absolutely wrong. Karan Johar, who is currently shooting for his film 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', has announced his new venture- remake of Mani Ratnam's 'Ok Kanmani'.

Though there have been reports of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor being roped in for Shaad Ali's film, Karan has confirmed the news on Twitter. He posted, "Honored to collaborate with Mani Ratnam on the recreation of his labour of love....directed by Shaad Ali.... @DharmaMovies.. cast coming up!"

We hear that core technical crew that worked in the Tamil version is likely to be retained, with dialogues to be given by Gulzar, music by AR Rahman and PC Sreeram as the cinematographer. The screenplay of the film is reportedly being co-written by Mani Ratnam and Shaad Ali, and the film will go on floors in early 2016.
