Alappuzha: The political relations   between the  Bharat Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) and the BJP in the upcoming Assembly elections were discussed by BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan and SNDP Yogam chief Vellappally Natesan on Saturday.

They told the media after the talks held at Mr Natesan’s  residence at Kanichukulangara  here that they would hold more dialogues  after seeking the opinion of their party leaders and workers.

“The current political developments in the state and the problems of the downtrodden like fishermen, scheduled castes,  scheduled tribes  and adivasis were  discussed,’’ said Mr Kummanam.

According to him, the leaders of the two major political parties in the state were trying to  destroy those who did not  dance to their  tunes.

“Earlier, they had used corruption allegations and murder as  weapons to finish others. Now they are indulging in character assassination of those who speak for justice and equality in society,’’ he said.

“They are trying to tarnish our image without any evidence. We are working based on the ideology of our party and we will not  go back on  our goal,’’ said Mr Kummanam.
