BSF crash: Haryana announces Rs 20 lakh aid to kin of 3 victims

The BSF plane ferrying force's technical personnel had crashed near Dwarka.

Chandigarh: The Haryana government on Thursday announced financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh each to the kin of the three personnel, hailing from the state, who were killed in the BSF plane crash in Delhi.

"As per Haryana government's policy envisaging financial assistance to family members of martyrs from defence and para military forces, the Chief Minister announced to give Rs 20 lakh each to the next-of-kin of the deceased," an official release said here on Thursday.

The release said co-pilot Commandant Rajesh Sheoran, a resident of village Barwas in district Bhiwani, Inspector Satyanarayan Sharma of Dadam village, Bhiwani and Sub Inspector Chote Lal Sharma of village Koriawas district Mahendragarh were killed in the plane crash.

The BSF plane, ferrying the force's technical personnel to Ranchi from Delhi, had crashed near Dwarka on Tuesday and burst into flames just outside the IGI airport shortly after take-off killing all 10 people onboard.
