Clashes at Naidu meet in Guntur

Mr Naidu became angry with the protestors asking them to learn discipline.

GUNTURThe public meeting of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was stopped for some time due to a protest by teacher aspirants and further counter attack of Telugu Desam supporters on Friday at Narsaraopeta. Mr Naidu became angry with the protestors asking them to learn discipline. Educated unemployed youth from various areas in Guntur district came to the public meeting hoping to meet Mr Naidu. 
 
They claimed that they wrote DSC-2014, but the government did  not start the selection process. They demanded giving appointments to all DSC-2014 qualified aspirants. They lamented that the government showing court cases and did not try to resolve those cases to start appointments. After failing to meet the CM, they joined the public meeting. When Mr Naidu was addressing the public, the youth showed placards demanding appointments as teachers. 
 
The TD supporters and activists started counter attack with plastic chairs and beat the protesters. A DSC-2014 qualified aspirant, K. Naidu of Repalle, sustained a head injury in the attack by TD supporters. The Chief Minister stopped his speech asked the TD supporters to stop beating the youth. He added that there are procedures to bring the difficulties to the notice of the government. 
 
AP Assembly Speaker K. Sivaprasada Rao appealed to the TD supporters to stop the attack. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured protesters to the hospital after which Mr Naidu resumed his speech. The TD leaders alleged that YSR Congress provoked the DSC-2014 qualified aspirants to create ruckus to disturb the CM's meeting.
