5 hurt in naval depot fire mishap

Indian Navy was quick to order an inquiry into the mishap.

VisakhapatnamFive persons received burn injuries in a fire mishap at the Naval Armament Depot (NAD) while they were disposing of the old and  date-expired ammunition here on Tuesday. The condition of one of the injured was critical. 
 
Indian Navy was quick to order an inquiry into  the mishap. Four of the injured were discharged after first aid at the  Seven Hills hospital, while three were under observation. Fire has  been brought under control by local fire tenders, said an official of  Eastern Naval Command (ENC). 
The one in critical condition is V. Ramana, 46, and the other injured are Sure Demudu, 65, B. Haranadha Rao, 53, and Subaha Santh, 30. The identity of the fifth person is yet   to be established. 
According to sources in the Indian Navy, the mishap   took place when the five were trying to separate the detonator and  chemical of a signalling cartridge.
