Hyderabad: The state BJP has referred party MLA Raja Singh’s public outburst against state party president G. Kishan Reddy to the disciplinary committee for initiating necessary action.

This was disclosed by BJP national executive committee member and MLC N. Ramachandra Rao here on Wednesday.

“Raja Singh levelled serious allegations against Kishan Reddy which are utterly false and motivated. We have asked the disciplinary committee to look into this and take appropriate action against him,” Mr Rao said.

He said that the MLA also accused Mr Kishan Reddy of distorting the BJP’s official policy on cow protection.

“BJP is for cow protection, we are against any one consuming cow meat, but we are not against someone eating buffalo meat which is legally allowed. What we are against is public display and organising beef festivals etc. in order to hurt the sentiments of some communities which may create law and order problems. This was the view expressed by Kishan Reddy and it is very much in tune with the BJP policy. Even this was distorted by Raja Singh,” Mr Rao said.

Reacting to the other allegations levelled by Raja Singh against Mr Kishan Reddy, the MLC said, “BJP is a party where the leadership takes decisions collectively, including on allotment of tickets. Kishan Reddy did not take any decision in his individual capacity. If Kishan Reddy had encouraged Congress leader Madhu Goud from Goshamahal to join the BJP, no wrong was committed. Even Raja Singh joined the BJP from the TD, a fact he is conveniently ignoring.”
